Every time I look at the original "river" shot, that sailor is still standing in front of the number. Isn't he ever going to move?

I know, I saw that star and said the same thing myself. When Stan builds the boat, it will be so important that he knows this. I also notice what seems to be canvas or material around the bottom of the windshield. I wonder why or when they added this. Not sure if we will try adding this on to the model or not. It's tough to see how they have it fixed in this position.

Frank;
That is very odd, they covered the original plexiglass windscreen with canvass, then the added another flat plexiglass windscreen??

I know it looks a bit strange, and it is possible that were having some leakage problems. I don't think we will try and replicate this in the finished model, as no photos probably exist that would show enough for Stan to see how it was attached..

Looks like those plexi shields are two separate stand-alone pieces.

I was thinking about having sailors on the boat when Stan gets to building PT-66. Is there any good figures out there in 1/24 scale? I usually do not use figures on any models that I do not have in a diorama setting, but at this large scale, I am considering it.

Frankie - I know Preiser makes 1/24th scale figures; don't know if they could be adapted very easily to crewmen......
