Hi Ruth,
I am a member of the Save The PT Boat group here in Portland OR.
We would be thrilled to meet with you and show you around the PT658 a WW2 PT boat similar to your PT491. In fact one of our founding members was a former crewman of the PT491 of RON33 Al McCready. I have a lot of photos I can share with you from the 490 and 491. Where in OREGON do you live? Maybe we could set up a visit. Please contact me soon.
