I love this site! To date I haven't found too many references for PT boats, but I digress. I'm an old scale modeler from a long way back, but I'v been out of practice for some time. Now I'm working my way back. My usual tastes are aircraft, but a friend gave be a Lindberg 1/32nd scale PT 109 kit and I'm in "dog heaven". I can't leave well enough alone...so all my "creations" are definitely not OOB. I don't want something several thousand other people have on their shelves. And I started a collection of GI Joes some years ago and I'm just now learning how to combine the two hobbies into one. So the picture attached give you an idea of where I am....really I've just started. I will be asking alot of questions. I hope they won't be too "simple"....

lol thanks Ted. The 1st thing I thought of was "astronaut". I did a search but it doesn't appear to be one of the retail figures, got any background on it FW? The suit is so nicely done it looks like the rear deal!

The figure is a Blue Box Inc. (BBI) product and is called the "Bob Chapman" figure. You can still find it on ebay sometimes. BTW...U2 Dragon pilots often earn astronaut wings because of the altitudes they fly in. Same with SR71 pilots....
This is another combination I did recently for a friend who works at Lockheed.
This is a figure from Dragon Models Limited (DML) an is an F117 pilot.
Hasbro did a "JFK PT Boat Skipper" figure some years back (yes I have him) and once he has been highly modified, he will be standing next to the PT boat.
