Just a wonderful Diorama in such a small scale. I don't know how you do it, but I really have enjoyed watching this come together. You are also one heck of a photographer as well. Love it.............

Thank you, Frank and Wil. I'm glad that you're enjoying my model.
When first envisioning this diorama, I wondered how the PT crews boarded the tenders but, a PT Boater told me, at one time, that the PT crews seldom went aboard the tenders.
But, if they wanted to go abourd the tender, how would they do it? Whale boat to the accommodation ladder? A jacob's ladder along the hull? Or via a boat boom like the one that I've attached to my tender.
Even if this isn't exactly accurate, I like the additional detail.

Hi Carl,
I found this photo in "At Close Quarters" book. It shows some sort of ladder behind the guy catching the pots being lowered from the tender. Jerry

Jerry,
I bet that you were one of those who told me that the PT crews seldom boarded the tenders. I've seen that pic, before, here, I think. I wonder what ship that is. It's not an Oyster Bay class tender. I don't recognize anything in the background nor the railing setup.
As far as my diorama is going, I have attached the tender to the water base as well as the first PT.

Work continued, this weekend, on the PTs.
This one will be depicted as refueling and re-arming on the starboard aft station.
This one will be depicted as preparing to moor alongside the outboard most nested PT.

These are awesome photos!!
Super quality and they show close up details of the tender.
I'd guess that it is either the Oyster Bay or possibly the Mobjack. I think the Willoughby and Wachapreague had camo pattern paint jobs.
The Mobjack had some different features than the other three but, the areas of those features don't show up, here.
The Oyster Bay lost it's stack mast with the radar on it and the radar array was switched to the foremast. I'm not really sure if the Mobjack had this change made, too. I'd have to investigate further.
I'm glad that you like my Oyster Bay diorama!
