It has been pointed out ot me that the brown#4 is wrong for this boat. I've got a LOT of time and money invested in it and want to get it right.
To that end I have posted 3 color photos of the 493 boat that served with the 495 until it was lost in Oct. '44. The son of the skipper was kind enough to send me these photos. He says his father said the boat was brown. I sent the photos to John Snyder at WEM and he said he thought it was probably Brown #4.

Al Ross says in his book, Vol 2 page 174, that there was a scheme with this pattern that is un-documented but that it was most likely #2 and #3 Green.

Anybody have any additional information?
