PT3 has been acquired and the new owner intends to bring her back to operational status. Whether this will be a restoration or a replication has yet to be decided. So far, she has been 3D scanned and is currently at the Brooklin Boat Yard in Brooklin, ME. Andy Small and I have been providing them with historical material and last Thursday went to BBY to see her. She is still cocooned but we were able to get inside with one of the BBY leadership. We took quite a few photos of the interior and I'm going to try and upload those that I took.
She's in very rough shape.

Andy took this photo. It shows the place from which I took the other shots. I can't climb around anymore, so I was standing on the ground in the hole in the hull just aft of the forecastle.

This looks to be more than a labor of love. I hope their pockets are deep.
Thanks for posting the photos.

Thanks Al and Andy! He called me asking if I knew any technical info about PT3 and I referred him to you and Andy. Then he told me that you two were already on the way to visit him! I sent him some photos of PT3 under construction, (doubtless that Andy gave me in the past) and a few of her underway. I am glad that they are trying to do the correct restoration under your watchful eye!

Al,
Thanks for posting. It would appear that, at some point steel nails were used as fasteners. A rather poor choice as these will rust and contribute to the rot of the frames seen in the photographs. I would think the original conctruction was done with brass screws.
