I see in the picture Al posted in another thread that the 195 had a 20 mm in the starboard turret. At that time did she still have the .50 cal guns in the port turret?
Thanks and cheers

If not mistaken, I think she had 20mm in both turrets. Whatever the case, she was loaded with weapons, with a 40mm stern, the Quad mount, 37mm up front, the 2 20's I just mentioned in the turrets, plus 4 MK-13's and at least two depth charges........

Really rough photo, but it oes show (when enlarged) a 20mm in the aft turret. The 37mm is on a field-built mount and is way forward.

Wow, that boat had some punch! I'm assuming the 40mm on the stern as well. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that boat. What do you suppose that is on the port side of the Manxon gun? It doesn't look big enough to be a depth charge. Any thoughts? Another subject for the Italeri kit!

Could it be spare magazines for the quad .50 cal Manxon guns?

Yeppers! Spare magazines for the .50 cals as can be seen in Al's reply

Last shot of 195 I have (at the moment):
40mm can be seen aft.

As I mentioned the last shot that Al posted does show 2 20MM Cannons in both turrets.

Interesting. Although this is the last of the 103 class the cockpit armor seems to have changed. More like you see in the later boats. Imagine. :-) I'm also amazed there are no depression railings around the gun tubs after the 20mm was installed. Do I see a hint of depth charges behind the stern roll of torpedo's?

David;
Yes you do see depth charges. I have a photo of this boat underway, in late 44- early 45 in P.I. I will try to post in tonight.
Take care,
