Hi Ted . . .
Sorry about that . . . .
I don't really know what was happening, I couldn't understand why you weren't seeing the images or downloading the PDF links. I check the site on my Mac - everything worked just fine, I turned on my older Mac and again everything work just fine. Then a brain-storm hit - try turning on the PC. So begrudgingly I turn on the HP Quad-Core and low and behold, no images and dead links. Did a power re-load and still the same. Whats left, Hmmm.
Looked at the file names and saw the part of the tilte name had "config" - "PT-Series-ELCO-CONFIG.jpg" in it. so I deleted word from all of the files that had that CONFIG in and re-uploaded them - and did a repost and low and behold everthing work - that is just wierd. Specially when the Mac saw everthing but Windows PC don't - strange

DICK;
AM I TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOU'RE A "HARDBOARD" DRAFTSMAN?
YOUR QUALITY IS FANTASTIC. I WAS A 'HARDBOARD' DRAFTSMAN IN MY YOUNGER DAYS, BEFORE I LEARNED COMPUTER ASSISTED DRAFTING AND I KNOW AND UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH WORK GOES INTO YOUR DRAWINGS. VERY WELL DONE.

Hi Steve . . .
WOW . . . someone knows . . .
Yes, I started out on the drafting table in 1968, drafting machine, Le-Roy lettering machine, triangles, ships curves, circle & ellipse guides and the infamous Rapidiograph Pens, oh yeah, don’t forget Scum-X (the more coarse drafting powder.) Then after a couple of years I thought I would tryout as a Technical Illustrator. I thought it was just going to be simply creating isometric type three dimensional drawings, Wow, I didn’t realize it was a complete discipline onto its self. Then onto Graphic as well as Industrial Design. All the time keeping everything except for the drafting machine – the large wire-guided Para-Glide parallel edge is more convenient for all of these discipline, but of coarse in the corner of the closet hangs my really, really old Vemco with 36” arms 18” scales.
Now days most of my work is still on the board, except I scan my pencil drawings into the computer and retrace everything as continuous and Bezier curve lines done in Adobe Illustrator, this replaces the inking process (Rapidiograph Pens). Most all of the PT Boat engineering drawings I can get are what I classify as Assembly type drawing almost all void of dimensioning data, hence the board work and a set of proportional dividers substitute for all of the lack of technical data needed to create CAD drawings. Plus it easily give me a greater “FUDGE” factor when clear information isn’t included or available and photographs are substituted for engineering. Since hardly any real drawings exist anymore, I rely very heavily on photographs. Oh yeah, I’m shamefully still CAD-Illiterate.
Thanks, and long live the sandpaper stick lead pointer,
Dick. . . .
