I recently bought and read again the book They Were Expendable. This is the story of the accomplishments of six PT's in the Philippines in the early days of WWII. The men manning these boats are the ones who established the PT's reputation. They proved what these small boats could do in combat. I recommend that anyone who has not read this book, or has not read it recently, borrow or buy a copy and read it.
