I am looking for any living members of the "Who-Me?" PT 167 crew. My late father was a member and I have some photos of the some crew members and my father taken in 44-45'. His last Pacific duty was departure from Samar on 19 Oct 1945.

Dick;
Welcome to the forum. Post your photos if you would like. I believe John Bowman is still with us, he lives in California. I spoke with him several years ago though by phone. while I was amking a model of 167(fall 1944 time frame), I also later made a 1/72nd scale PT 167 model( spring1945 time frame)I also think George Holavak(sp?) is still alive. I don't believe any of the 167's skippers alive, Ray Bernking, being the last to go on final patrol.
take care,
TED

Hi Dick-

Several years ago I built a model of PT 167. I wrote an article about it which was kindly posted on PTBoatWorld by T. Garth Connelly. Jim Bowman passed away a year or two ago but I did meet him at a PT Boat Reunion about 6 or 7 years back. My PT 167 project came to me after I met two other former crewman, one of whom asked me to build him a model. How about you email me offsite (alexjohnsonpt155@hotmail.com) and I can pass along your inquiry to them directly. I'm sure they each be delighted to be in touch with you.

Hello Dick,

I was in contact about two years ago with Robert (Bob) Pickett who was aboard the 167 when my now deceased dad was skipper.

I can give you his email address if you email me: Mikeberlin@talktalk.net

I have a photo of the crew and I'd be interested in seeing the photo you mention.

Best, wishes,

Mike Berlin
