Hi there.

Another month has passed and still no joy . I went to the hobby shop in a town 15 miles south of me t get a 7.2 volt motor for my 1/32 Lindberg PT boat model. The motor would have been about $20 except it would not arrive until October. He does not have another supplier with 7.2 volt motors. I do not want to spend $60+ for a 6 volt battery and charger unless I absolutely have to.

So it looks like I will have to go back to the shop where I bought the two 4.2 - 6 volt motors one of which burnt out when I used it with the 7.2 battery I was told would be okay to do so. I am taking back the unused 4.2 - 6 volt motor and will attempt t o exchange it for a 7.2 volt motor.

Here is where I can use your help. All the brushed motors this shop sell are Graupner Speed motors. However the other sizes are not RACE motors. What size motor should I get to run via direct drive a single center prop on the 1/32 scale Lindberg PT boat? 500, 600 or bigger? The prop is a Graupner 40mm Right hand twist. I really would like to get this boat back in the water very soon.

For my newest boat I already have two Pro Boat PT-109 triple blade right hand turning props and two Graupner M4 nickelplated marine prop shafts. I have a brand new unused Tazer 15T Forward/Reverse Electronic Speed Control and a 3200 ma Venom NiMh battery. I would like to get this boat to plane. What size motor would you recommend for direct drive hookup?

Later I will be getting a couple of 5000 ma NiMh batteries so I can run one motor on each battery for a longer run time.

Thanks very much for any forthcoming help.
