The first annual PT BOAT SUMMIT meeting will take place today at my home. It is the first get together of friends who share a common interest, PT BOATS. Three great guys will make the trip to Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. John Molnar from New York, Alex Johnson from Virginia, and Stan Pienkowski will be my guests. Should be a fun time for all. Stan and Alex build my models for the Exhibit and do such an outstanding job. Maybe if I feed them well today, I can get them to build me something else, providing my wife does not kill me first for taking up too much room in the house. John has such a deep passion for the boats, and has a nice collection of PT related items, not to mention his grandfather ( I think ) served on PT 171. I hope it is a super time for all. I hope to post a few pictures later, providing we don't break the Camera...............

If we do this again next year, maybe we could have it somewhere and more people could show up. I would love to do this once a year and have it grow..........

PT BOAT SUMMIT

Photo below - #1( left) Stan Pienkowski, Alex Johnson, and John Molnar at the first PT Boat Summit meeting in Massachusetts.
-----------------------------------------------------
A great time was had by all on Sunday when three good friends met up to sit around and talk PT BOATS. All met up at Frank Andruss's house looking at picture's, and enjoying Frank's PT Boat Collection that did not make it into the Springfield Exhibit. I was glad the guys came over and so was Stan, who said he would travel anywhere as long as food was served.

It was, and the boys sat down to some home-made Kielbasa, macaroni salad, Potato Salad and other treats. My wife cooked the Kielbasa just for Stanley, who said said he would come over more often if this was to be served. John brought some nice pictures for us to see of his uncles time spent with Ron 11, and more photo's of the boat Stan built for him.

Alex showed up a bit late with his wonderful wife and two young children. When she knew we would be talking PT Boats. she very nicely took the Kids for Ice Crème, and a quick look at an M-1 Abrams Tank at the local American Legion. I was happy that the guys showed up. It was nice to have some time away from the women ( you didn't hear me say that) and talk my favorite subject. Maybe we could do this again next year and have more people come out. It was a good time had by all.
