Any Photo?

There was a rather fuzzy WWII-era headshot of Albert included, along with contemporary photos of the surviving 109 crew members (and Kirksey and Marney's WWII service photos) in one of the Saturday Evening Post magazine issues in which Robert J. Donovan's book "PT 109" was serialized before it was published in 1961.

Strangely, the Albert photo was omitted from the published book, don't know why. Maybe his family objected -- who knows?

Albert was certainly portrayed as something of a jerk of a castaway during the aftermath of the 109 ramming/sinking in the movie "PT 109," although he was given an apology moment (and forgiveness by Cliff Robertson's "JFK") in the exec's cabin of the 157 after the rescue.

The 1960s era paperback had the crew photos. Recent editions don't

Raymond Albert's picture was never in the photo section of either the hardcover or paperback editions (the paperback editions which included the crew photos, anyway) of Donovan's "PT 109."
