I have been in contact with Walt recently concerning the Jap attack on PT 523 and PT 525 at Leyte Gulf. Walt was on 524 and was the one who boarded 523 and helped with survivors including my cousin Lt Robert Orrell.

I was able to put Walt in contact with Robert's daughter. I can only imagine the thrill of meeting the man who was responsible for your father's rescue to safety.
