Hi there.

There is a three part series titled PT Boats - Giant Killers on UTube. Some of the film is from the Elco Company. There is a lot t here showing the construction of the boats at the Elco plant. I thought that perhaps some of you may not be aware this film is there and would like to see it. There is some colour footage of the boats running at high speed.

Cheers from PeterTareBuilder

Hi PTB,

Yes, "Giant Killers" has long been a favorite of PT buffs, and a lot of us have had it on video tape for years. I believe it's now also available on DVD, and remains a fascinating, in-color look at the wartime building of the 80' Elco PTs at the Bayonne plant.

The "other" World War II PT boat documentary, Warner Bros. "Devil Boats," is also on YouTube -- but in black & white. Even though several wartime advertisements for the film prominently state it to be "In Technicolor," I've never seen it in color, nor do I know of anyone who has unearthed a color copy of it yet (at least not for public viewing or purchase).
