I started interviewing PT boat vets several years ago.

I have compiled quite a bit of oral history and through the generosity of the vets who sent me their photos to scan, I have collected several hundred related images.

When I first started conducting research, my primary goal was to record as many oral histories as possible. At one point in time I had planned on writing a book with the tentative title, "Stingers of the Mosquito Fleet - Recollections of Life Aboard a Patrol Torpedo Boat."

I have decided instead to start an internet blog. I will begin posting pictures and recollections on that blog later this month.

Here is the link:

Here are some of the veterans I have spoken with. Some of our conversations lasted three hours or more. Pretty much all of the calls were recorded and have since been transcribed.

Here are some of the PT vets I have spoken with at length, or I have had email exchanges with, or I have spoken with their family:

Arthur Frongello: PT 302

John Howard Davis: PT 460 and PT 183

Walter Kundis: PT 524

Parker Miller: PT 27 then AVR Crash Rescue Boat

Wendell Inskeep: PT 150

Sebastian Listro: PT 359

Francis Doyle: PT 338

Al Moore: FEMU Barge 6

Cheers.

David
