Frank,
are you sure it was judy who e-mailed you? The reason i ask is that her thread is an old one. A couple of months ago I posted the last reply before yours and before my post the latest one was from OCT 2006.
You responded to "Judy" as if you thought this was a recient thread.

I sent you an e-mail explaining this a couple of nights ago. I posted in this thread because I'm looking for any insight into modeling the 169 boat.

Hi ya ED-

Yes, the post WAS for Judy! She had sent me an e-mail and I started to write her back an e-mail in reply when my therapy nurse arrived for the first time since I have been home from re-hab. I had my left knee replaced on Jan 30.

While the nurse was here I left the computer on and forgot about it and the dang thing shut down taking out Judy e-mail address with it.

I have a really neat picture of the crew of the 169 that was sent to me by a fellow crew member, Dominic Mingalla or Ming as he like to be called for short. Dom was the foward twin 50's tub gunner on the 169.

What really makes this photo unique is that front and center is the chief head hunter on the Isle of Tulagi who befriended the American GI's. As Dom told me in a letter he sent to me, they would lead this chief into the jungles and just like a "bloodhound" he would sniff out the Japanese!

If you want a photo let me know and I'll be more than happy to send one along to you! I don't have a scanner so I'm unable to post the picture on the board. Let me know!

Oh, before I forget, congrats on the gold for that beautiful diorama of the 169. You earned it buddy!

OK Frank. Thanks. i just wanted t make sure I didn't get between you and Judy and mess things up.

I've just started working on my 169 build. That great Zebra diorama was from Muddyfields. He won gold and deserved it.

I'll e-mail you with my addess. I would love to see the photo. I'll scan it and send you a jpeg file of it.
