I have several pictures of the boats. What is your e-mail? Also, AT CLOSE QUARTERS makes mention of ops involving them.

Mopar,
I have quite a lot of info on all the boats of RON16. I have a copy of the Squadron History compiled by squadron Chief Alfred Piotter. I see LT(jg) Arthur F. Disque listed as the CO of PT299 "Pom Pom" aka "Two Ninety Niner" I also have a list of the crew and where the boat was moved to and what it did and approximate dates. I dont want to place all of that info on this message board, but would be willing to email it to you but you do not list your email address under your profile. Please write me at my email address listed under my profile and let me know some more info on what you are looking for. I am a member of the PT658 restoration crew and a retired MMC from the USN so I would be glad to do what I can if you were able to contact me. Hope to hear from you soon.. Jerry

Hey LT Mike,
I just emailed you the newly revised summary of RON16 operations focused on PT299, PT298 and PT241. I transposed the passages from the hand typed manuscript onto a MS Word document. I never saw LT Disque mentioned by name anywhere except the boat rosters. However, I dont think that really matters. I found a lot of stuff. I also included a few pics of a Jap Type A Barge and somne other stuff about RON16. I hope this is helpful. Jerry PT658 Portland

Jerry Gilmartin,

Thanks again for all of your help and support once again. I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures and information that you had sent me. I had also sent you a return email to thank you but don’t think it went though.

In addition to making a file for the family im looking into making models of the 241 and 299. I’m excited about all the information and you a great wealth of knowledge.

I do appreciate you help, thanks again!
