I was wondering if anyone looked at the PT Boats that were in "In Harm's Way" with John Wayne. These are some pretty interesting scenes with them in it.

Hello Bill:

Those were not PT BOATS used in the making of this movie. Although not 100% sure what they were, I think they were Air Craft Rescue boats of some tpe. I am sure others on this Board will have a better grasp of these type craft used.

Frank, Bill . . .

It's been a couple of years since I've seen the movie, but I remember thinking back then, the "at dock and a couple of long shot" views showed at Trumpy (AVR) type boat modified with some torpedo tubes. However the close up battle scenes could probably be "They Were Expendable" Prop boats with the same action back screen projection.
