There have been a number of questions about backdating the 1/35 kit to an early series boat. Muddyfields has done a fantastic job and here is a link to photos showing some of what he did:

Hi Ed
Nearly finnished now.
You watch now that I've done all this converting & scratchbuilding you'll see someone will bring out 1/35th scale torpedo tubes etc.
Have to say that without the help of the guy's on here & some other internet sites this project would never have got off the ground.
