I had always wanted to speak with members of those who were involved with the movies "They were Expendable" or "PT 109". I had no luck contacting Cliff Robertson, who I would love to get in touch with, and it seems no one is alive from "They were Expendable". Anyone have any contacts with those that might be alive. It would be so nice to interview them or at the very least send a letter to and obtain a response.

Ty Hardin is supposedly still alive, so isn't Cliff Robertson and Robert Blake. Why don't you try Warner Bros Frank .....................

You've got a question, I've got an answer.

Garth
Thanks, I think I might do just do that, although I had heard that Ty Hardin is a recluse, and with Robert Blakes past Criminal troubles, he refuses to talk with anyone...........

Ty Hardin kind of went off the deep end in the 1970s and 1980s. He left acting and became a part of a bizarre hate group called the Arizona Patriots. Let us all know if you get in touch with anyone associated with either PT film. Good Luck! ALEX

As I recall Cliff Robertson did participate in a PT Boat seminar about ten years ago at The Admiral Nimitz Musuem in Texas. That would suggest he has at least some interest in The Boats.

FRANK . . .

This is an excerpt from Wikipediae.org I had discovered sometime back:

[blue]"Ty Hardin was recently nominated for the Key Peninsula citizens award for his volunteer services to his community. He was mentioned with others in an article that appeared in the February 28, 2007 edition of the Peninsula Gateway newspaper. Mr. Hardin currently lives in the Key Peninsula area near the town of Gig Harbor, Washington."[/blue]

Thanks for the info, Dick. Looks like Mr. Hardin has turned things back around. Frank, hope you can make his acquaintance.

Thanks Dick for the great information. I do hope I can make a connection with him, it would be an awesome thing for me. Good God Dave, if you looked like Hardin, you would have 8 wifes as well. As a matter of fact you might have tons of girfriends too. Thanks Alex for your input as well...........

Ahhhhhh.... No chance. Anyone who gets married 6-8 times in his life has issues. No offense to anyone but I've been married 27 years and I'm still trying to figure out my one and only wife. :-)

Anyway, good luck with reaching out to this gentleman.
Dave
