My name is Daryl Ogden. I worked on the above vessel in the early 70's with Capt. Ronald Sinn. The boat was located at the time at Sinn's dock, Cardinal and Park Blvd in Wildwood Crest NJ. THE PACKARD engines were pulled out of her and the rubber lined gas tanks. Ron put two Detroit Diesel 653's V drives in her. (Underpowered to say the least) I personally took two trips from Wildwood Crest to West Palm Beach on her and back. I don't know how Ron lost her but when I found out she was beached and rotting I almost cried. I had lots of hours working on her renovation. She now sits in the Greenwich boat yard amongst other heaps of days gone by. Sad. I will post pics once I figure out how.

Hi Daryl,

I'd love to hear more about the New Buccaneer. Years ago, I wandered around her at Greenwich, though I didn't know she wasn't a PT boat at the time. A few pics floating around, and here are a couple of other threads that may interest you, about former Sinn boats.

Hey guys, there was a very extensive thread about the New Buccaneer a few years back, IIRC, Dr. Al Ross had posted a lot of information about her and what happened to the boat. Maybe somebody can find that old thread and post a link to it? I think it was an experimental USAF boat.

Hi Jerry,

If it's the thread I'm thinking of, it should be that first link in my recent post, but I inadvertently copied the URL from pg 4 instead of pg 1.
