PT 149 - RON 8

Hi all-
My grandfather served in the South Pacific on PT149. I was hoping to find some people with connections to this PT boat or squad to help him with some hazy memories.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,

Jenni: The book AT CLOSE QUARTERS, which can be purchased from PT Boats, Inc. on this website, has several brief descriptions of actions involving PT-149. In addition, I have one photo showing some of the 149's crew. Post your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy.

Thanks Will-
My email is tngapch@gmail.com -
I do believe he has this book but I'll double check. I've managed to cobble together lots of notes from things he's told me and others but as he gets older he has trouble recalling things and it is very frustrating for him. He was on the verge of panic last night because he could not remember that they called their boat Nite Hawk.
Thanks again!
Jenni

Jennie: At one point the 149 was also named PIST OFF.

Yes, I found that when I was doing some research online - though my grandfather does not remember 149 going by that name. He did find it amusing however.

Jenni,
See my reply to your question about (what is possibly) color film footage of PT 149 under the "WHAT WAS THE TRUE COLOR PAINT JOB ON THE 109" topic heading.
