My Elco PT-61 model in honor of Lt. Ken Prescott went on display today. It is now on loan to the Navy War College Museum in Rhode Island. Scratch built by my dear friend Stan Pienkowski. The folks at the museum love the boat which is in the Torpedo Galley at the museum. The boat will be used to show visitors the role of the PT Boats.

Thanks Dick, it means a great deal to me that the Museum can help educate using one of my boats

Nice Frank, a well done model like that can get a lot of interest started in PTs. How long will she be displayed there?

I'm sure you worry about your baby every day especially after that grab and smash incident... grrr Although I'm sure she is very safe there.

Jeff the boat will be on loan and revisited each year. I love the boat, but as it will be used to educate I am in no hurry for it to be sent back home. Don't remind me of the grab and smash, that was terrible.......

Beautiful model. Frank do you know what your friend Ken used to develop the hull lines for his model? What set of plans?

I do not remember where Stan got the plans, but I would suggest contacting Al Ross who visits this site, or his facebook page.
