» Topic: We tried to tell Revell, but they wouldn't listen

Earlier this year we saw the CAD drawings of Revell's latest release of PT-160. The drawings reflected the test bed for the Thunderbolt gun system, which as configured on their CAD drawings was never put into production. The Thunderbolt gun system that was put into the field did not include the .50 cal machine guns. We reached out several times and explained the issue and received no response other than to say they got our message. So the kit is now released. If you want a kit of the Thunderbolt test this is the kit for you. Personally I think they would have been better off to take their late model kit and convert it into an Atlantic/Med boat which was also suggested. Anyway, here it is for better or for worse.

How disappointing...I was hoping for more than just a reissue of the PT-109 model fitted with the Thunderbolt system. Though it is interesting it is not enough to cause me to purchase this one. Revell should reissue the earlier PT-577 model...it is so difficult to find without spending a lot of money...
