Hello being a new member I’m a hobbyist writer from the uk fundraising for MNDA. To do this I write books and this special one off is for this boat PT-309 it’s crew and operational duties. It is being written as a surprise for one man who turned 95 in January the torpedo man Dale T Perry . Thanks to his granddaughter Melanie and Frank Andruss I’m collecting photos. I’m seeking special battle photos and also would like from the site owner if possible a cut away of the whole boat topside and below deck. Although this is a hobby I’m writing from 08.30-17.00 Monday and including weekends to get the book ready for print for Before Christmas as posting from the uk takes over 2 weeks. Can others help please.
Thankyou
David b

Hi David
I have lots of photos of PT309 I obtained from their now defunct Defenders of America Naval Museum located in Houston Texas area Kemah Texas. The Admiral Nimitz Museum of the Pacific War located in Fredericksburg TX now has the PT309 on static display. Were you aware of this? I am willing to email to you the 100 odd photos that I have but Frank Andruss may already have shared them with you. You happened to have chosen perhaps the most well documented PT boat ever so I do not think you will have much difficulty obtaining what you are looking for. [:-cheers-:]
