Has anybody seen this? It has a mediocre rating on IMDB, 4.8 for what that's worth. The trailer doesn't show any PT boats: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13497908/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_30

The 218 certainly saw some action. From Navsource http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/05218.htm:

On 24 May 1944, PT-202, PT-213 and PT-218 sank the German corvettes UJ-2223, ex-Italian Maragone (C 52) and damaged UJ-2222, ex-Italian Tuffeto (C 51) off Vada Rocks, Corsica[/green]

Hey Jeff
I read the reviews on the IMDB site and most said to not waste your time watching. One says this" This is all about a merchant marine supply ship (a Liberty Ship) and her crew fighting like a PT crew. There is no PT in this movie except at the beginning when one gets destroyed. Extremely low budget."" So I would not bother to watch this stinker.

Reminds me of U-571! I was so excited when I heard on my truck radio, "the true story of U-5......," then I lost the signal. So naturally, I was thinking of U-505, finally, a movie about the capture, Wrong! Not that this is new, and don't blame Hollywood, the fake history goes back to Fort Lee, New Jersey, the 1890s motion picture capitol! The more things change, the more they stay the same!

A real Stinker that should not have the word PT BOAT in it, as it doesn't even deal with a PT BOAT. Lousy cast, another film in which someone knew nothing about the PT Boats

Ugh, thanks Jerry. The bit of dialog that I heard in the trailer was pretty bad but I still had hopes. I shall follow your advice and avoid.

I checked Google Images hoping to find a screenshot of the movie PT Boat but no luck. I did find a shot of a depth charge seen in the movie, looks like they raided someones BBQ grill for it:D

Sounds as bad as the proposed "Mayday 109" movie Hollyweird was supposedly going to make a few years ago.

If you guys want to watch a movie about a PT Boat, I know a guy who filmed one and it is pretty good highly detailed and sticks to the historic facts. Plus the guy is a pretty good narrator too! LOL Here is the link to the movie on You tube
