PT 728 was originally a 70' boat built by Annapolis Yacht and was a Vosper design. The boats included PTs 661-730. There are outboard profile and deck arrangement drawings of PT 723 in the Al Ross / John Lambert book Allied Coastal Forces Of WWII: Volume II. But I don't know if the 661-730 run had any design changes.

Wasn't "Thomcat" the supposed nickname of Lenny Thom's PT 61?

Yes, the Port Clinton Liberty aircraft museum has some links to Lenny Thom. I think his family is from somewhere nearby and have visited there and donated to the museum. They named the restored 728 in honor of Lenny Thom's boat. But it wasnt PT61 it was his other boat, an 80 ft Elco.

A little further research shows it might have been PT-586. That info from Frank Johnson Book and Will Day list. So maybe not so helpful...sorry....

I'd love to see it Jerry, can you e-mail it to me? I'll make it a more manageable size and post it.
