Hello!
I'm a new member, happy to be here, I am ex-Navy 92-96 USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), OS2.
My grandfather Tom McElroy was on boat 334. Here's a few pics. The group shot is the 334 crew , my grandfather is top row second from right, Burt Davis on the top left of course was the Skipper.
Other crew are (not sure who is who): Everett Foust, Bud Lane, Leo Bills, Jerry Schramm, Sam Langford, Delbert Marr.
The next pic is his class from Elco school:
Final pic, my grandfather is the tall guy on the left on 334.
Thanks for allowing me to share. If there's any 334 crew / family out there I'd love to hear!
Best,
Ed

Hello Ed,
Welcome aboard. About 10 years ago, we had a PT334 crewman and his son come aboard the PT658 as our Guest and they rode the boat during Rose festival fleet week here in Portland. His name is OB Williams and he gave me copies of about 10-15 photos of him and the crew of PT334. I can post them here below. There is at least one with a similar name (Leo Billis) but OB Williams was on board in March 1945 I think your Grandfathers crew was earlier. like March 43 Interesting tidbit: we saw this close up detail of the 60mm mortar that was mounted on the bow of PT334 and used it as the model for making our 60mm mortar mount on board the PT658. So the PT334 (sort of) lives on in part today on the PT658! Pretty Cool huh?

Here is the photo of the PT658 60mm Mortar mounting based upon PT334 mount. I think it looks pretty cool! Plus the Cub Scout manning the twin 50cals is a cute photo too.
