I was very lucky to have received this pen and ink drawing today. A few different types were drawn by Elco employee Malcom Macintyre. What is even more exciting is that he sent this to a Mr. Taylor and it is signed by him. If anyone knows the meaning of the drawing let me know. The two men on the dock in the suits are (left) Managing Constructor Irwin Chase and Designer Bill Fleming, and I have no clue who the others might be. If anyone can give me information about Mr. Macintyre pleae let me know. These are very very rare and hard to find.

Hi Frank
I love these PT related cartoon drawings. All I can decipher is the PT boat weapons are being removed and the boat is being made into a private yacht. Maybe looking forward to the end of the war and thanking an important VIP with his own yacht? Interesting at any rate.

That makes a lot of sense, looking at all the different goings on around the boat, all geared to the civilian market. Add to that, that many, including high ranking officers were predicting the end of the war by Christmas 44! How wrong they all were. The war went on for almost another year, and civilians were not beating down the doors of any of the PT Boat factory's to get hold of brand new Packard powered boats after the war!

Makes sense Jerry, like they are getting ready to turn their defense contracts for the PT BOATS, back to their civilian boats.
