About five years ago when I was researching info to build a 1/20 scale model of the PT-61 as a gunboat I had downloaded several "War Diary" reports for November 1943 and January 1944. My search was focused on PT-59, 60, and 61 during that time. I have long lost the link but have saved the files in TIF format. Most are readable. These are for "Motor Torpedo Boat" and a few have "Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Three".

Any interest or do you already have these? (I imagine they would go under the Documents section.)

LEW ZEE, I would very much like to know what web site you found the diaries on if you could recall or rediscover it. I would like to find logs or action reports for pt 248 if it exists on-line. I know I may be asking something that you have already addressed in your post just thought it would not hurt to ask. thanks and regards, scott

Most reports and muster reports are on a pay web site called FOLD3.com.

Check with your local library. The Anne Arundel County Public Library here in Maryland offers free access to Fold3 as part of their genealogy research page. Also, if you go to the National Archives web site, you can read some of the War Diaries online, but unfortunately they don't offer as many as Fold3 does.

I believe it was fold3 - that sounds familiar. I had a trail access and used it. Lew
