No, she was not on the swim team. She was either a national diving or swimming champion that came through on a publicity tour or part of the opening of the pool I'll dig through my notes to see if I have a name.

CHARLIE THAT SWIM MEET WAS IN 1944 MY DAD SWAM IN IT WHILE ON LEAVE (ART CAMPBELL) HIS BEST BUDDY RALPH CHRISTENSEN JOINED THE TEAM THEN. RALPH REFERENCED THE MEET AGAINST YALE IN A LETTER HE WROTE FOR MY PARENTS 50TH. MY DAD DROVE THE YALE TEAM CRAZY WITH HIS FALSE STARTS. MAYBE ON PURPOSE. GREAT JOB ON GETTING THE NAMES WITH THE PICTURE WOULD YOU MIND E-MAILING THOSE PICS TO ME?. MANY THANKS. SCOTT .

For the above picture, in the March 22, 1945 Skeeter (MTBSTC newsletter) the caption reads "Clinton Lathrop and Arthur Campbell holding trophies they won in the First Annual Swimming Carnival, here at the PT Pool. Campbell - Hipoint, Lathrop - 2nd Hipoint.
