Welcome to the forum Danny. I think right now the best 1/72 .50 cal guns are from Eduard. Look for kit 672132. One of the things I like about this set is that they offer both left and right hand charging handles. There are some others out there but these are the most available right now. There will be some parts you won't need. There won't be a cradle. You'll have to scratch those together or find somebody to 3D design and print for you.
Good luck!
Dave

Danny,

The Eduard guns Dave suggested are complete, single resin guns with the barrels and receivers and (I think) cocking handles, sights, and spade-grip handles, but you may have to make those yourself.

The metal 1/72nd scale .50 caliber machine gun barrels I'm going to use on my future PT model builds are from the Master - Reality in Miniature site - www.master-model.pl/

These are made for 1/72nd scale B-17 and B-24 airplane models, but they're beautiful brass barrels and cooling jackets, and will be perfect for 1/72nd scale PT twin-.50s.

You can get a set of 13 barrels and their cooling jackets (which come with several separate flash hiders of the type seen on the chin turret guns of B-17Gs), or a set of two barrels and cooling jackets. I'd just be replacing the plastic barrels of the new Revell kit's PT 109 with the metal barrels/cooling jackets, and adding PE ammo belts from Aber or some other source.
