http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=4768

Hello all-

It has been a long while since I posted here about some topics on/about PT boats. Last trip was to the Solomons was in 2012. Just would like to post an update to a MIA (Missing in Action) recovery from another site which I saw (Pacific Wrecks).

I mentioned this MIA wreck on the forums here back in I believe 2008, as I was aware of it and called the then JPAC (now DPAA), "several times" to report it starting in 2008/2009.

Notice the timeline from find/report(s), to recovery..

In other news, it seems the airstrip @ Munda, has been improved. RAMSI is not a presence in the Solly's as such, and from a email a couple years ago there were still plans to build a replica of a PT boat on Lumbari Is.- since this build is on "Solomons Time" I would not rush to book a room anytime soon lol.

Best Regards-
