All;
Thanks to Frank, recently posting to "new" photos in which I have Identified Lennie Thom, here is a series of photos of him on PT 60 RON 2, taken at Lambu Lambu Cove October-November 1943.

Here is the series:

Lennie Thom far left, Al Webb far right with Ray Sopher next to him, maybe, I have to confirm with Ray's daughter.Ray took over 60 as Skipper, after Thom and Webb were transferred back to Melville. Webb later went to PT 214 "ZOMBIE" RON 15 as Exec (Sept-Oct 1944), then on to RON 40. Thom went to PT 587 "THOM CAT" RON 39 as CO), with the crew of PT 60, Oct-Nov 1943.(this photo has been wrongly identified in at least one article as: "Lieutenant Thom (standing far left) with officers and men of PT boats 36 and 40" I believe that item in the lower left is the back end of a RON 19 Higgins torpedo tube and the photographer is standing on a RON 19 boat. [b]Thanks Ted and Frank...
As a builder of the 1/20 scale model of the PT-61 (gunboat conversion) I enjoy looking at a new photo find of one of the gunboat trio 59-60-61. I hope there are more out there that can be found. These old and worn Elco 77-footers with all these arms on board were amazing. One of these days I will get my GoPro on the 61 model for some on-board videos and photos.
