I have several pictures of boats I helped build in Louisiana on a USN contract. How do you attach pictures to your posts? I don't see any obvious way, but the other posters are doing it so it must be possible.

I just watched that video . My response is unprintable. I don't have a photobucket account. Is there no other way?

How about this. Anyone who wants the pictures I will reply with them to any standard email.

My email address is: n5pgo@bellsouth.net

The boats were built in Morgan City a stones throw across the river where the last PT Boats (aluminum) were built in Berwick. As far as I could tell, all they did was pull the old drawings and redid the interior and superstructure. The hull shape is identical. You will see as soon as you see the photos. I got a good shot of them upside down under construction, and partially skinned.

I've never used photobucket so I thought I'd give it a try. I followed our fearless leader Dick's video and logged in with the credentials given in the video. You don't need an account, we're using the forums. I clicked create new album and named it N5PGO. I clicked your new album then clicked click to upload on the right. It opened an explorer window of my computers files and I went to the folder I wanted then clicked on the image I wanted, a Mark 17 mount on a truck. I triple clicked the html link that showed up after it was done uploading (double click only gets a part of the link) then right clicked and chose copy. Now I'm right clicking and choosing paste:

The album should be all set up for you now, just log in with the credentials given in the video. Then click your album and then click the click to upload on the right. I have faith in you, if I can do it anyone can! A good thing to do when posting images is check the checkbox Would you like to preview this post before posting? before you click Post to see that all is right. If it looks good, click the Post button on the bottom again.

While I was at it I uploaded another oddity, does anyone have a clue as to what all the grips are on this 20mm?:

Thanks for the video Dick, now I know what you sound like! I expected more of a growling bear kind of voice but it's actually quite pleasant. [:-good-:]

I just spent my lunch hour jumping through hoops at photobucket getting all those photos uploaded, while the pages are jumping around like a frog on a hot skillet, with ads completely covering the page so I CANT SEE A THING!

After all that, I FINALLY get an image ready to post here and do you know what I get?

Let's try this one more time (3rd times a charm) This photo is of the bow being skinned, note the one in the back has already been turned over.

OK, here we go again. I have to stay logged into both simultaneously are it all just disappears into the ether.

This is a before and after interior shot of the NAVCOM wiring I was doing. All the radar routing, gyro, and data went through this tiny space under a ladder. Before was just bare walls, after was with everything mounted and the wiring in place.

Not PT boats. They are coastal patrol craft built by Swiftships for the Iraqi navy. https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/swiftships-shipbuilders-gets-181m-for-iraqi-navy-patrol-boats-05812/
