Hello everyone.
from Englishman in Norway.

I thought I would make a brief introduction and one or two initial questions if I may?

I am 60 year old, and married to a Viking! lived in Norway nearly 15 years.
served in Fleet air arm (Royal Navy) froms school.

My Late father also was in the fleet air arm he also worked on MTBs but to my deep regret I should have asked him more questions about this time, when he was alive.

My initial questions are as follows:-

:is their just one over reaching forum IE PT BOATS - General?
as each time I clicked I always landed on it?

Next is their any way to change our given passwords for one of our own? could not see how to do it.

I thank you in advance

Best wishes Steve

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

Yes, there is just one "general" section. As for the password question Dick will probably jump in and help you with that.

Enjoy your time here.

Hi Steve . . . .

There is only one forum “PT Boats - General” on this message board, unlike others that have dozens and dozens. I purposely kept it to one general discussion area to drive all visitors and members to read all of the current posts for better and more complete participation by all. Also in its early days, well over 16 years ago, a large number of members were PT Vets as well as others which were new to computers and the internet - back in the mid to late 90’s - and this made for a simple understanding of the workings and an easily understood discussion path. It also makes it easier for me to monitor the unwanted such as spammers, hackers, and all who wish to damage the board.

Depending where you enter this forum you will see stats at the top of the forum table that states:
[blue]The PT Boat Forum has 35449 registered users with 34032 messages, consisting of 4250 topics and 29782 replies.[/blue] As you can see 35,449 registered users, but in actuality there are more like 427 actual legitimate members, the other 35,000 are individuals wishing to spam, hack and damage the forum in one form or another. Twice a year I’ll bring the membership down to around 500 by removing/deleting 35,000 tried memberships.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD
You will find five dark green buttons immediately below the webpage masthead and directly below its PT Boat image. Simply click on the [green]“ My Profile “[/green] button, a log-in page will pop-up, simply log-in with your Member Name and current Password, and click on the “ Edit Profile ” button below that member info. Now the Member Info page opens where you can make changes as you desire. After you are completed, click on the “ Save “ button near the bottom of the form table box. Thats it.

Enjoy your participation,
If you have other issues simply click on my email Icon button above my post to email me.
