I don't mind scratch building to improve a kit like Italeri's PT 109, however when there is a 3D printed version available at a reasonable cost, then I'll for go the effort and concentrate on something else. I am talking about the Mufflers on the Italeri kit, they are pretty bad when you have seen originals. The 3D printed kit form Shapeways looks fantastic and for $16 it's not worth competing with.

Can't figure out how to hyper link this url, sorry.

Hi Captain,

You have it almost correct, you just need a back bracket after the first "url", e.g. forward bracket, then url, then back bracket...then the remainder. The full url would then be...

I have Luis's 1/20th Elco mufflers, the picture is some what deceiving of the flapper valve. When mounted on the transom at the correct angle, the flapper valve is orientated correctly.

Luis is adding new PT items to his store regularly.

And just this evening I received my Higgins mufflers in both 1/16 and 1/20. The 1/20th are going on my Hellcat, and the 1/16th om my 78' Higgins. Also in the shipment was a late model radar mast and support, nice quality and detail.

Just received my 1/35 scale Elco mufflers by Luis. Unbelievable detail and best of all, one piece each muffler. Not only are they packaged individually because they are each different, but the tubes on top that connect to the hull are different lengths depending on which location they are as they should be, very pleased and well worth the money.

Hi.

I'm happy you like these mufflers.

Please share some pics when they were painted!

Thanks and best regards

Luis
