» Topic: Pat's Mk 18 Torpedo Tube parts on Shapeways
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=4063

I have built a few Mk 18 torpedo tubes with 3D printed parts from Shapeways, but have hesitated to advertise them. Problem is, my build method makes use of several machined tube segments with joiner rings... it's a labor intensive method, most folks don't have access to a lathe to make the segments, I don't have time to make and offer them, and the 3DP parts add up to quite a bit on top of that.

But I do list the breech door assembly with detonator, as a separate set:

This is a tricky part to make by hand, so may be useful to some of you. This one is in 1:20... I can scale it to 1:24 and 1:16 or whatever, as needed (though not 1:35 / 1:48!)

Each printed part is a joiner ring between separate tube segments... they would fall apart if bored out to slip over the tube:
