Good Evening, I have just recently acquired a most awesome PT fiberglass boat that is only 5 percent finished. It will be a project for me and my son for years to come. Along with the purchase came boxes of research from books to blueprints. We are excited to take on such a venture. I have recently retired from the Navy and have great respect for the men and this war fighting machine they mastered. I will be making a webpage of the project and a personal account of its development. I am currently researching the kind of engine(s) that will be installed. Electric/Gas? 1/2/3 engines? I am planning to make her as realistic as possible, I even looked for V-12 mini gas engines. Thanks again in advance for your inputs.

Pat Matthews would be the man to ask, he has done some outstanding work on large R/C PT boats: [url]http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2478697[/url]. I'm amazed at the tech that has come out since I stopped R/C boating around 1989.
I do know that with fuel engines comes parts loosening vibrations. I used rubber "lord" dampers between the engine and mounts of my larger boats.
