Daniele:
Man does that hull look sweet!!! Just like the real thing! How much did the hull cost you? I can't wait to see what is next.
Take care,

Hallo Ted, the hull costs 2 years of blood, sweat and tears,The filosofy behind the build is to keep costs as low as possible;so the hull is built mainly of scrap wood-the outer planking comes from old furniture;perfecty seasoned-the frames were hand drawn using data from height and offset tables found in the Elco DVD collection.
For the hull I spent about $80 for assorted birch ply plus the purchase of the Elco DVD.
The superstructures will bring the budget to explose:for the Maxson turret I already burned more than $300 : the Trumpeter M16MGMC kit,Tamiya .50s , Aber brass barrels and Live Resin .50 ammo belts[:-rdo-:].
Plus throttle pushrod housing, deck cleats, position lights,helm,throttles,2x oerlikons and the M4 37mm gun as 3DP parts for another $200+[:-rdo-:]
At least I have a complete 1/16th White halftrack in my spares box!
Regards.

Coming along nicely Daniele! I like the protective trim that we've recently been talking about. Keep it coming!

Daniele; I just noticed, are those brass strips along the keel and transom leading edges? Nice!
