http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=3918

Stan and I are working on a very big project for a client. I am looking for 1:72 roll off racks and Torpedoes. I know that WEM used to have them but I understand they went out of business. Anyone know of a company that supplies this? I tried looking at shapeways, and we did find SO-Radar sets and Navy sailors that we need, but I could not find torpedoes and racks. Please let me know here or just E mail me.

Frank,
I have a fret of WEMs 1/72 USN Mk. 13 roll-off racks I picked up a few years ago, just in case. The fret is enough to make 4 racks, if you don't screw up. LOL. I do not have the 2 resin torpedoes that came with it but I do have 2 Mk13 plastic fish that I bought a couple old 1/72 Devastator bomber kits to get.

If you are interested, e-mail me and we can work out the details.

Frank,

WEM is still in business, has a new owner, they are now in the US.

The items you need in 1/72 still show out of stock, but maybe give the new owners a shout, see if and when they might be available again?

Thanks again Ed, Jim I was contacted by the new owner of WEM yesterday who informed me the items I am looking for should be replenished in about one month.

Yes, I believe Tom's Modelworks has taken over the WEM line.

Could be Dave, I was contacted by a Richard Harden who said they took over the company. I am looking forward to being able to purchase some of these items again for future projects.

Just had a reply from Richard Harden of WEM. The PT 109 PE set, #7205, is once again available in stock. Other sets useful for 1/72 PT boat conversions/updates will be available very shortly.
