I just got back from the Outter Banks and a set of paint masks for the stand were waiting for me. These were made by Gator's Masks. He made the masks for all the numbers, insignia and now the stand. They are outstanding.

Hey pretty neat. That would make a nice mouse pad for the Computer. Have you read the article in Fine Scale models? Seems the guy built one of these kits and complained about the paint not adhering to the plastic. That might explain why my friend, who is building my model was having trouble with the paint. This guy recommends using a primer first, then paint.........

I've had at least 3 different paint jobs on this model with a lot of masking and never pulled any paint off with the tape. I did wipe it down with thinner before painting to get rid of mold releases, finger prints, etc.

That would make a great POSTER. I think some would like to have that in their room. I think it looks pretty awesome myself.

Wow! That is a great idea. How would you configure it?

One poster with the port side, starboard side, top view, bow and stern?

I can take some more photos as needed.

You could do several and offer them as a Package. Maybe three posters for x amount of dollars. Port and Starboard views in color and maybe the third in black and white. You can also make it into a mouse pad. Just a thought. lets get some views on the subject.

Here are a coupleI threw together quickly. I need to unify the background and get a better port side photo but you get the idea. What do you think?

These are reduced size to fit the forum. The full size one print great on a 8.5 x 11.
