It's new to me Pat, great find thank you for sharing! There's something about the .50 cal. "box with a barrel" that I really like. And what an impressive service history it has.

MoMM 2/c Charles M. "Tubby" Kiefer was 3rd Engineer and Plankowner on LTjg Henry Stillwell Taylor's PT 46 RON 3(2) and also a student in Packard Engine Class USN-10-11, April-May 1941, and a photo of the class is on Gene's website.
Really nice photo, especially showing the Colt mount.

Hi Pat,

As Ted mentioned its a Colt mount, can't recall the Mark. Believe Chip Marshal knows. This mount was designed to replace the Dewandre mount. A number of the early 20-44 series 77'ers had these mounts as did PT's 45 through 48 of the second series. PT's 59 through 68 had the more familiar Mk-17 Twin 50's mount.
