ALL;
Let us take this weekend to remember our friends, regardless of what era the were from, who made the ultimate sacrifice, and those who have gone on their last patrol before us. For me, I had my own era, and as for my six "BOATGUY" brothers who are now on the other side, and my SEAL mentors and brothers who are with them. I will never forget them, they are in my thoughts constantly and close to my heart every single day for the rest of my life.
On this weekend, while we are enjoying with our families, let us all take a personal moment and remember those who protected and still protect our freedom, and thank GOD we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Take care,
TED

Absolutely.

I'll be attending my 36th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race this Sunday, and to me, the most important and moving part of the pre-race ceremonies is when the lone bugler plays that sad, aching, echoing "Taps."

My son and I will be at the cemetery on Monday -- and of course, my flag will go up over my garage door at dawn -- planting a flag at my great-grandfather's grave. He was always very proud of his service with the National Guard, and asked his daughter (my grandmother) to make sure he got a flag every "Decoration Day," and I've made sure that's been done.

To all you veterans, all my admiration and respect. I will honor you in my thoughts, words, and deeds always.

As Ernie Pyle said, "Thanks, pal."

Thanks Ted: Memorial Day for me is a time of remembrance of all my crewmates that have made their last patrol. Out of 15 there are 4 of us left. Also to remember and pay honor to those that paid the supreme sacrifice that never came back.

Susan and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the sacrifices and service our Vets have given for this once great nation of ours. May God bless you all that are here with us that we can remember and honor what you Heroes have done and may all those Heroes we honor who have passed, Rest in Peace in the House of the Lord.
