» Topic: Looking for data about a PT sailor.
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=3798

Hi Guys. I have a L.E. friend who tells me his grandfather served on PTs in the Pacific. The sailor's name was Edward Michel. He was from New York and served on either the 120 or 170 boat. My friend says he used to tell stories and has photos of raiding parties his boat landed behind Jap lines.

Any help in finding more information about him, his boat or action would be greatly appreciated.
I looked in "In Close quarters" but found no reference of him but see that 120 was in Ron 6 then Ron 8 and 170 was in Ron 10. It would be great to determine which boat was his.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed;
Edward Louis Michel 907-65-07 RM 2/C(T) was assigned to RON 8, so PT 120. He arrived to Mios Woendi and RON 8 on 6 Oct 1944, just before the big PT boat cruise to the Philippines from Mios Woendi, He detached from RON 8 on 25 Oct 1945 and returned to USA
