Thanks to JB's previous post I found this buried in the same website...Absolutely Awesome!!!!!
20 OCT 1944: USS WACHAPREAGUE (AGP 8) arriving with PT Boats from RON 12, RON 7, (19 total ), also in film are Boats from RON 21, 33 and 36 which were assigned to USS Willoughby(AGP 9) and USS Oyster Bay (AGP 6), 45 boats total, and from my count they are all on this video!!!! I also think PT 195 is the 3rd boat(outboard) to pass close to the camera, I think I see the Maxon! This is GREAT!! It even has Dougout Doug leaving USS NASHVILLE and getting on Alex Wells PT 525 RON 36 getting underway for Tacloban on October 24, 1944! I only wish the film was clearer and while I am wishing, in color! Even still, it is a beautiful sight to see on film!!!!
ENJOY!!

Thanks Ted, I had seen this one before, so it was nice seeing it again, my only wish would have been to hear what that must have sounded like with 45 PT's and 135 throbbing Packard Engines.

Frank;
You just have to do what I did, Listen to Jerry's old Packard Engine audio and using your imagination add 44 more then multiply it by 3 and the sound of a total of 135 Packard Engines is absolutely deafening and do you know what else? Its the sound of Victory and Freedom!!
Take care,
TED

Thanks Ted and JB. That is a truly impressive display of PT power. As I watched I added the sound of 800 loud Harley's going by in my head.

I was amazed at the funeral. Pushing the aviator in the plane over the back of the boat.

Ted,

Great footage went to the clickable PT Boats lower down on the page and found two in colour marked 7/1943 Rendova shelling Munda lots on PT Boats PT 157 shows up under way also a nest of 4 Boats in the harbour one with the beehive radar, very bad focus and colour has washed out quite badly just wondering if anyone might be able to restore them?
