» Topic: PT 41 Photo?
http://www.ptboatforum.com/cgi-bin/MB2/netboardr.cgi?cid=101&fid=102&tid=3718

While having a look at the PT King web sight and trolling through the images there under the Tulagi heading I found a photo of a 77' boat shot from the bow back towards the cabin, on the deck were a number of men/ sailors and various items of gear. What got my attention was the number 41 on the cabin, just wondering if anyone has seen this and wether it may be the 41 boat. I did enlarge this to the full extent of my 106mm screen and it is very plain to see!

Dark numbers /light cabin colour, because of the number of men in view not much of the boat can be seen but the skipper/exec officers face behind the wheel can be clearly made out, so an ID from his face may help.

It appears that some form of transfer/transport of men is being undertaken at the time of the photo

Anyone got any ideas???

David;
That is PT 46(LTjg Henry S. "STILLY" Taylor and ENS Stanley C. Thomas), not 41. write Gene, he has all the I.D.'s on his photos.
Take care,
TED

Thanks Ted, I just found the 6 looks very much like a 1, the way the photo has been taken cuts the circle of the 6 off nicely.
