David Doyle's second edition of the monograph he did for Squadron in 2010 is out. Almost all of the errors (minor, even then) have been corrected and, I think, a few photos changed. The terrible drawing of the 70' ELCO, a carry-over from the original monograph by Connelly, has been replaced with a far more accurate one. In my copy, the hardcover version, the photos seem a bit sharper and the colors a bit clearer.

It's a nice visual reference, particularly if one doesn't have some of the more recent books like Victor's.

Thanks for the update on David Doyle's book.

Several years ago, the 2010 edition was my first new PT Boat purchase and sparked my interest and research into the Huckins. Was wondering if the Huckins' drawings were also updated?

Cheers,
Andy

Other than the rudder being moved to its correct position on the transom, no.

Thanks for the recommendation Al. I received my copy today and just ran through a comparison with the older book David did. I like this one much better. Not only the corrections but also an additional 20 pages of photos are included. Some very nice color ones to boot. Highly recommended!
