On August 17 my dad went to be with the Lord and his wife of 64 years before she passed away in 2012. He was very proud of his service aboard PT331. He spent his last couple of years at a nursing home and never missed a chance to tell people about being on a PT Boat in WWII. He was an insulator and was exposed to asbestos and that is what killed him. I am proud to say that I am his son.

Joey, very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Please take comfort in knowing that he is at the gates of Heaven, and as soon as they open, PT-331 will be there for him to board once more. God Bless you and your Family during this time. http://mosquito-fleet.gdinc.com/

Joey, I wonder if you have contacted the PT Boats national headquarters in Germantown, TN so they can list your dads name in the next newsletter. Very sorry to hear the sad news about your dad, a real WWII hero.
